The Kata Sensitivity V Backpack
A year ago, I started looking for a backpack that could act as a laptop bag and a bag to carry a digital SLR, the associated cables and leads and writing material, plus have a bit of space left over to add additional personal items.
Kata Bags introduced a series of ergonomic bags, which incorporate futuristic lines and shapes. I have been using their Sensitivity V backpack for almost a year. The entire bag is made from Kata's soft Elasto Guard laminate material. The outside of the bag is entirely black, but the interior is bright yellow. Compartments
Two frontal U shaped flaps access top and bottom compartments separately, and each functions as an independent pocket. The top section comprises an internal organizer panel for personal effects, a detachable elongated zip pouch and a small pocket for SD cards. I have used this top compartment continuously to hold a digital SLR.The lower compartment has elastic sleeves to secure and protect delicate equipment. If you do not use these can fold flat to allow for storage of other equipment. An additional zipped pouch is attached by Velcro to hold other gear in this compartment. These two compartments are separated by a zipped division that can be undone to create one large compartment. A large rear safe guard laptop compartment will easily hold the new range of compact note books or up to a 30 centimeter screen laptop. There is also room to include an A4 note pad.
The padded harness ensures carrying the bag will be comfortable. For additional security a sternum strap is included to be clipped across the chest. A pouch is built into each shoulder strap to carry a cell phone and MP3 player. The low profile side pocket will hold a small water bottle or other compact items. The small external music media pocket allows the use of earphone cables. The sensitivity V Backpack will allow you to carry your compact laptop or note book plus your digital SLR, a compact digital camera, a MP3 player, mobile phone and charging leads while having easy access to everything. The compact shape allows you to carry your gear without having a bulky bag.
Made from Kata’s soft Elasto Guard laminate material the Sensitivity V will allow you to carry and protect electronic equipment in a variety of locations.

The top compartment carries a digital SLR, while the lower compartment has a compact digital camera plus computer cables and charging leads. These two compartments can be combined into one large compartment.
Versatile
The Sensitivity V backpack is versatile enough to carry your digital SLR camera, compact digital camera, note book or compact laptop, mobile phone, iPod and anything else you can manage to squeeze into it. In the past year this backpack has spend the winter in the Austrian, French and Suisse Alps, many a day in the hunting field or on the range and several trips around eastern Europe. A professional photographer may not be able to carry all their accessories; however, for carrying two cameras and other electronic equipment, including a wireless note book to keep in touch while on the move, it will carry everything that I need.
The Kata Sensitivity V will enable you to carry a range of sensitive electronic equipment in all types of weather conditions. Here it is at Grindelwald train station, while spending part of the winter in the Bernese Oberland.
The new range of compact note books and up to 12 inch laptops, along with an A4 note pad, can easily be carried in the safe guard laptop compartment.
