 The 5.11 Raid glasses comes with three lenses, two storage bags, which also serve as cleaning cloths and a neck strap to keep them in place.


Features and Benefits

The smoke lenses provide maximum glare reduction and will not distort colours and are excellent in bright or high glare conditions. Clear and Ballistic Orange lenses are preferred colours for use at the range and other applications where eye safety is the priority in low light or indoor applications. T-Shell coating means there is good resistance to scratching, cracking, and crazing. Selenite polycarbonate is die cut to produce lenses without distortion from any angle and is ten times more impact resistance than glass or resin lenses. The frames are built with Grilamid TR-90, a homopolyamide nylon characterised by an extremely high bending strength, low density and high resistance to chemical and UV damage. This helps make them as indestructible as possible.

 

The 5.11 Raid glasses will also protect your eyes from the glare in the snow and are rugged enough to be used while skiing.

5.11 Tactical® eyewear is designed, developed, and manufactured by Wiley X Eyewear who achieve industry leading standards through their precision manufacturing and quality control. I have been used these glasses for competitive shooting, including the IPSC World Shoot, on both indoor and out door ranges. The lenses and nose piece are easy to swap over, which I found to be effective. I have worn them for a full day during shooting training courses and they remained comfortable to wear. I have also used them with the smoke lens while skiing and the orange lens while mountain biking. The neck strap keeps them in place while performing dynamic activities. The lens bag also serves as a cleaning cloth. While in their lens bag the three lenses with the set of glasses I was testing survived the boot lid of an estate car being closed on them, but this is one test I do not recommend that you try at home!
