Alliant Bullseye and Power Pistol Loads
IPSC PRODUCTION AND STANDARD DIVISION LOADS USING FRONTIER BULLETS AND ALLIANT BULLSEYE AND
ALLIANT POWER PISTOL POWDER
The following 9mm, .40 S&W and .45 ACP calibre loads were assembled using Alliant Bullseye and Power Pistol powder, using Frontier 9mm, .40 S&W and .45 ACP bullets. They were tested in a 9mm CZ75 SP01, a .40 STI Executive and a .45 STI Sentry. The velocities were recorded using a CED Millennium M2 Chronograph.
Alliant Bullseye
Millions of rounds have been loaded with Bullseye since it was introduced in 1913. it is fast burning and consistent, economical and a very accurate powder, whose principal use is for handgun loads. Probabily America's best known pistol powder, which is an excellent choice for .38 Special and .45 ACP target loads. It can also be used in a variety of other pistol calibres.Alliant Power Pistol
Designed for high performance loads in semi automatic pistols and is a good choice powder of choice for 9mm, .38 Super, .40 S&W and .357 SIG. this powder was designed for with IPSC loads being a primary consideration. Fast burning and consistent, the principal purpose is for use with high performance loads in 9mm, .38 Super, .40 S&W and 10mm Auto. It can also be used in a range of moderately loaded pistol cartridges
The overall length of the loaded cartridge is critical to both function correctly through the pistol and to maintain safe pressures. We used both Complete Metal Jacket ( CMJ ) and lead bullets in both calibers. The two different 9mm bullets were loaded to two different lengths, as the jacketed bullets had to be seated deeper so as not to contact the start of the rifling. All the .40 S&W and .45 ACP loads used the same over all length. The IPSC Power Factor for Minor and Major in Production ( Minor only ) and Standard Divisions is 125 and 170 respectively.

REMEMBER
If you increase the overall length you will DECREASE the velocity and pressure.
If you decrease the overall length you will INCREASE the velocity and pressure.
