After the cloudy finish to Day 2, Sunday was clear and sunny, but then another meteorological feature of this region made an appearance. Le Minstral struck from the start of the match, with the strong winds turning many of the stages into a dust bowl, which had the competitors reaching for their pistol covers. After each stage many people just cased and bagged their pistols. The wind did not let up for the entire day.
