2011 World Shoot XVI Handgun Championships

The 2011 IPSC World Shoot XVI Practical Handgun Championships were held in Rhodes, Greece. Last held in Bali, Indonesia, the World Shoot ( WS ) takes place every three years and was held at the Kalamonas Shooting Range, 18 kilometres south of Rhodes Town. The range was expanded for the WS.

At the 2010 European Handgun Championships all the range officers and match officials were decked out in 5.11 tactical pants and shorts and also in specially designed range officer shirts made to IPSC specifications.  Law enforcement, military, medical and fire and rescue professionals worldwide consistently choose the 5.11 Tactical Pants for both on and off-duty wear. First specified by the FBI National Academy as standard training issue, the pants have enjoyed considerable popularity over the past 30 years.

The Cracow Open 2011 Level III Match

Hungary’s Gyorgy Batki took first place in Standard Division., Posted in Content

On the 20th and 21st of August the Cracow Open 2012 was held on the northern outskirts of this scenic city in Poland. The match consisted of 14 stages with a round count of 250. Most of the competitors were from eastern European countries, but a number of us did travel from western European countries to participate in the match. We also had a squad of shooters who travelled from the Ukraine to participate in the match as well.

The SVI Infinity European Open 2011

As the IPSC World Shoot XVII takes place in October 2011, the Infinity European Open, held in Philippsburg, Germany became one of the main matches for many IPSC shooters in Europe this year in the lead up to the Worlds, which takes place in Rhodes, Greece. Several European countries were using this match as part of their national squad selection process for the Worlds.
