The roll of the shooting shirt has developed over a number of years. First designed as a means of identifying your club, team or country, developments in the material shirts can be constructed from has lead to garments that can help assist keeping your body temperature under control during strenuous physical activity in a warm climate. Developments in the material used for the clothing of high performance athletes are now also being used in the construction of shirts used by IPSC competitors.

Arriving in Nice, in the south of France on the 12th May, the weather was pleasantly warm, with temperatures in the high 20’s °C. The Cannes Film Festival was in progress with the like of Woody Allen, Angelina and other luminaries in attendance. But we bypassed Cannes and headed straight for Cheval Blanc, the home of the Mediterranean Cup. The competition was organised by the members of the Tir Durance Luberon Shooting Club, who ensured the range complex was fit for purpose and constructed all the stages for the event.
