IPSC safety rules dictate that eye protection must be worn when competing in, or just attending, a match. At a competition you will see all types of glasses in use, including sun glasses and reading glasses. Most competitors use specialised safety glasses. These can vary from industrial eye protection with a sport styling, which are relatively inexpensive to customised sports glasses that have a very high price tag. With this in mind Saul Kirsch set out to provide competitors with a range of three styles of sports shooting glasses that offered proper eye protection, come in a set with all you need, have a stylish finish and are affordable. Double Alpha Academy Golden 20 Pocket Gauge

Any competitor serious about competitive shooting is aware of the importance of gauge testing their ammunition before a match. Since most malfunctions are ammunition related, and most of those relate to deformed, bulging or otherwise defective cases. Testing your ammunition in a gauge is an effective way to reduce the chance of a costly malfunction during a competition. The problem has always been that it takes time to accomplish, which is why some people avoid doing it and then their pistol locks up solid in the middle of a stage. Currently it takes about two minutes to check one box of 50 rounds, which works out at 20 minutes at least, to test the amount of ammunition that you would bring to a competition by using a single cartridge gauge or by using your barrel. Well this has now changed!

Over the 20 years I have been shooting IPSC, I have used a variety of holsters from different manufacturers in competitive events. I have used Hellweg, Rescomp and borrowed a Guga Ribas to try in a few matches. For the past number of years I have been using the Ghost competition holster in Production and Standard Divisions. This year a new holster hit the IPSC competition circuit – the Race Master, made by Double Alpha Academy ( DAA ).
