We have been trying out one of the 5.11 luggage bags, so over a five month period on our travels around several European countries from the ski slopes to competitive shooting events we put one of their travel bags to the test.
The material used, reinforced corners and skids will make sure that the 5.11 Mission Ready 2.0

on its end, which is a great advantage in an airport or train station.
The 5.11 Mission Ready 2.0 Rolling Duffel Bag is a great luggage bag for any of your work or leisure related travel. This gear bag is just the right size to hold 20 to 23 Kg ( depending on airline ) of checked hold baggage or can be used as a gear storage bag that can be kept in a vehicle. It is easy to transport even when fully loaded and its design allows quick access when you need your gear. The bag also has a write bar name tape and two ( large and small ) ID windows, which will allow you to quickly identify you bag, such as when you are at the airport waiting for your luggage to appear.
Functionally
FunctionalityDesigned for any operation, the Mission Ready 2.0 has the storage space you will need for your equipment and clothing. When I fully loaded the bag with equipment the collapsible handle, heavy duty wheels and axle with reinforced bottom corners and skids and four external carry handles make it easy to transport through airports. Loaded with shooting gear or skiing gear and clothes for a weeks stay, I easily wheeled the bag around airports, train stations and accommodation locations. When you want to access your gear, the bag zips open easily for access to the main compartments and pockets. When you are ready to move the bag zips up quickly and can be compressed and secured with the zippers and adjustable high impact locking clasps.
The Mission Ready 2.0 Roller Bag is an ideal size to transport 20 – 23 Kg of checked luggage.
There are three pockets on both the inside and outside.
This bag can also transport the 5.11 Range Qualifier Bag.
Storage
StorageThe main compartment measures 28.75” by 15” by 13” ( 5606 cu in or 92 litres ), with two large main compartments, three internal mesh pockets and five external pockets, this is a versatile luggage bag. The bottom main compartment features a mesh divider and has tie down straps along with three mesh pockets. It is easy to see your gear through the mesh divider and can be used to stow your hard gear while and has internal, roll-away dividers that will allow top loading access. The top compartment can carry your soft items such as clothing. The remainder of your smaller items can go into the four external pockets.
Additional clothing can also be stored in the top compartment of the bag.

The Mission 2.0 will stand unsupported on its end, which is a great advantage while standing in an airport or train station. I spent several months at the start of this year trailing this bag through airports, trains and streets and can highly recommend it.
